LISBON FALLS – Walker Foehl scored a goal and notched two assists as No. 4 Waynflete scored four times in a 12:30 span of the second half to knock off top-seeded Lisbon 4-0 in Western Class C girls soccer semifinals Friday.
Sadie Cole opened the scoring at 19:12 of the second half off a Foehl cross from the right corner, and Arianna Gigurere made it 2-0 five minutes later, ripping a shot under the crossbar off another Foehl feed.
Foehl scored her goal on a 25-yard direct kick, hitting the top left side, and Marijke Rowse closed it out with another shot under the crossbar with 8:18 remaining after a long carry by Cole.
Lisbon (13-2-1) had a number of excellent scoring chances, especially in the first half and most coming off long throw-ins by Gabby Ouellette. But Waynflete (10-2-4) keeper Juliana Harwood kept the Greyhounds off the board with a point-blank stop of a Kayla Angelico breakaway and a diving save of an Angelico header.
