OAKLAND, Calif. - The Boston Red Sox have recalled left-hander Drake Britton from Triple-A Pawtucket.

The moves were made Sunday before the Red Sox faced the Oakland Athletics.

He pitched for the Portland Sea Dogs until being called up to Pawtucket earlier this month.

Britton, 24, was involved in a DUI during spring training, has yet to make his major league debut.

JACKIE BRADLEY JR., an outfielder, was optioned to Pawtucket

CLAY BUCHHOLZ (9-0, 1.71) threw a second bullpen session before Sunday's game and will likely throw one more on Tuesday before making a rehab start.

STEPHEN DREW, an infielder, will play two more games in the minors before rejoining the Red Sox Saturday when the Yankees visit Fenway Park.
