Scarborough High School senior Camille Jania won the 2008 Maine Principals’ Association girls singles tennis championship on Monday at the Wallach Tennis Complex at Bates College in Lewiston. The No. 1 seed, Jania defeated two-time defending state singles champion Christine Ordway of Waynflete in the finals 6-0, 6-0. Jania dropped only one set as she progressed through the five rounds of the tournament. It was the second singles championship for Jania, who won as a freshman in 2005. She did not compete at the Maine high school ranks the past two seasons. Ordway won the MPA singles title in 2006 and 2007.
