PORTLAND — Savvy Inc., a local public relations and communications firm, has merged with DBMediaStrategists, a Boston-based public relations firm that serves corporations, nonprofits and medical industry clients.
Savvy is owned by Dennis Bailey, a former newspaper reporter and former political communications director. Bailey recently headed the CasinosNo! campaigns against an Oxford County casino and a Racino in Scarborough.
DBMediaStrategists is owned by Bailey’s twin brother, Doug Bailey, a former business reporter for the Boston Globe.
The combined firm will have about a dozen clients with annual billings approaching $1 million.
