Book sale at library

The Falmouth Library book sale will be 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, with a sneak preview from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday for current members of the Friends of Falmouth Library or for a $5 donation per person. Mini-retreat on self care

A mini-retreat devoted to self care will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Vywams Foundation, 6 Amethyst Way, with life coach Deb Bergeron, raw food chef Elizabeth Fraser and licensed massage therapist Maureen Roy.

Wolfe’s Neck fall festival

The annual Wolfe’s Neck Farm Fall Festival is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Attractions include a tractor climb and pumpkin hayrides, live music and face painting. Activity stations will include an apple cider press.

A bake sale and food stand will offer refreshments. Admission is $5 per person or $20 per family, with discounts offered to farm members. Volunteers are also needed. For more information, call 865-4469.

 

Healthy living to 100

Dr. Rebecca Brown will present “Healthy Living to 100,” a Lunch and Learn event from noon to 1 p.m. at the Casco Bay YMCA.

Soup, cider and history

The North Yarmouth Historical Society Soup and Cider Day starts at noon Sunday at the Old Town House on Route 9.

Cooks are needed for the event, and the historical society is asking anyone interested to bring a slow cooker of favorite soup or a basket full of baked cornbread, biscuits or desserts.

 

Metal-clay jewelry event

Lynda McCann-Olson will demonstrate the use of metal clay to create jewelry from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Skyline Farm, 95 The Lane.

She also will teach her techniques during a class from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 6. While the demonstration is free, the class is $125, with registration and payment due by Oct. 29. For more information, call Pamela Ames at 829-5708.

Spear Farm work projects

A Maine Conservation Corps field team crew will be working on a project at Spear Farm today and Thursday, as well as Nov. 9 and Nov. 10.

Library book and bake sale

The annual book and bake sale will at Thomas Memorial Library, 6 Scott Dyer Road, will start with an early bird night for $10 or free for “friends” members from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
