PORTLAND – Katie Roy had a goal and three assists Wednesday night to lead Cheverus to a come-from-behind 4-3 victory against Portland in a schoolgirl hockey game at the Portland Ice Arena.

Emily Sawchuk, Sarah LaQuerre and Julie Lambert also scored for Cheverus (6-1).

Abbi Scrutchfield had two goals for Portland (3-4).

WINSLOW 4, BIDDEFORD 3: Jen Poulin’s shot went off the post and in with 2:03 left in overtime to lift Winslow (5-0-1) over the Tigers (3-5) at Biddeford.

Paige Thomas had two goals and an assist for the Black Raiders, who took a 3-1 lead in the first period.

After Haley Reny got the Tigers within one in the second, Victoria Eon tied it with a power-play goal at 6:11 of the third.

Kellie Renk also scored for Biddeford.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

GRAY-NG-POLAND 4, FRYEBURG-LAKE REGION 2: Kolby Arnold, Tyler Lafrinea and Adam Healy had a goal and an assist each for the Patriotic Knights (3-0), who scored three times in the final 11:13 to beat the Ice Cats (1-3) at Bridgton.

Mike LeGoff scored twice for Fryeburg Academy/Lake Region. He gave the Ice Cats a 2-1 lead at 3:18 of the third, but Nevin Rand evened it 29 seconds later. Lafrinea and Healy added goals in the next five minutes.

BREWER 8, MESSALONSKEE 2: Evan Nadeau had three goals and two assists to lead the Witches (2-0-1) past the Eagles (1-3) at Winslow.

ISLESBORO 58, A.R. GOULD 41: D.J. Johnson had 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists to lead the Eagles (6-1) past the Bears (2-2) at South Portland.

Jason Hatch added 20 points and Gerard Scherr chipped in 11.

Mekonnen Nigussie led A.R. Gould with 13 points. George Hopkins and Steve Lyons each had 11.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

LAKE REGION 46, FALMOUTH 30: Hannah Cutting had 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Lakers (4-1), who shot 10 of 15 from the line in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Yachtsmen (3-2) at Falmouth.

Abby Craffey added 12 points for Lake Region, which led 30-25 after three quarters.

RANGELEY 45, LAKE REGION 17: Sierra Machacos scored 14 points for the Lakers (4-0), who opened with an 18-0 run against the Breakers (0-5) at Freeport.

Abby Abbott added eight points for Rangeley. Hannah Koester had six points for Pine Tree.

CAPE ELIZABETH 44, YARMOUTH 21: Emily Donovan and Marlo Dell’Aquila combined for 22 of the 29 first-half points for the Capers (4-1) against the Clippers (1-4) at Yarmouth.

Cape Elizabeth took a 29-11 lead heading into the break.

Donovan finished with a game-high 17 points. Dell’Aquila scored 12.
