Marine Corps Sgt. Christopher G. Patrick Jr., son of Florence Patrick and Christopher Patrick, Sr., both of North Berwick, recently was promoted to his current rank while serving with Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38, Marine Air Control Group 38, Marine Corps Air Station, San Diego, Calif. Patrick is a 2006 graduate of Noble High School, North Berwick, and joined the Marine Corps in September 2006.

Air National Guard Tech. Sgt. Ronald C. Brown Jr., an assistant flight chief with the 104th Security Forces Squadron, Barnes Air National Guard Base, Mass., graduated from Air Force Noncommissioned Officer Academy at The I.G. Brown Air National Guard Training and Education Center at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base in Tennessee. Brown is the son-in-law of David and Toni Irish of Falmouth.

Army Reserve Pvt. Bradley E. Gagnon has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Pete Gagnon of Lewiston and Kathleen Alexander of Topsham. Gagnon graduated from Mount Ararat High School, Topsham, in 2010.

Cadet Tech/Sgt. Alexandria Hebert of the 077th Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, was recently promoted to C/master sergeant. Hebert recently completed her Wright Brothers Award and is a member of the Color Guard and the Commander of Cadets of the 077th Squadron. She has been a squadron member since 2008 and attends Poland Regional High School.
