Children’s juggling program
Henry Lappen, a mime and juggler from Amherst, Mass., is presenting two children’s programs on Wednesday at the Thomas Memorial Library in Cape Elizabeth and the South Portland Public Library.
Lappen will present “A Passion for Birds,” at 1 p.m. in Cape Elizabeth.
At 4 p.m. in South Portland Lappen will perform as Henry the Juggler.

Trek Across Maine talk
The American Lung Association is holding an informational meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Gritty McDuff’s on Fore Street to talk about the Trek Across Maine cycling event.
This year’s 180-mile trek is scheduled for the weekend of June 15.

Financial workshop
Joanna Murphy, of New England Credit Consultants, will present a workshop about taking charge of your finances through separation, divorce and remarriage from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 27 at Kids First Center, 222 St. John St.

Women’s wellness clinic
There will be a woman’s wellness clinic from 9 a.m. to noon every second and fourth Monday at Birth Roots, 101 State St., Portland.
The clinics will be offered by local Certified Professional Midwives and midwifery students.

Activities at the library
The Scarborough Public Library is offering a program, “Pajamarama” story time for children ages 4 and up at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
A puppet theater story time program for kids up to 7 years old will be presented at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The library is also hosting a teen open house from noon to 3 p.m. Friday with Wii games, duct tape crafts, team board games and a selection of great books to check out.

Grief support group
VNA Home Health & Hospice is offering a six-week grief support group, held from 10:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 27 through April 2 at 50 Foden Road.
The group is for adults grieving the death of a loved one.

Gardening workshop
The Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust is offering a series of workshops on vegetable gardening.
The workshops, held from 2 to3:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 27 Pleasant St., is aimed at beginning and novice gardeners although gardeners of all levels will find the workshops valuable.
Additional workshops will be held March 11, 25 and April 1.

Library hosts farmers market
Auburn Public Library will hold its 3rd annual farmers market from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the library, 49 Spring St.
There will be 17 vendors and live music by the Peterson Project. The event will also feature crafts for children.
KENNEBUNK
Museum workshop for kids
The Brick Store Museum’s annual February vacation workshop will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at 117 Main St.
This year’s topic is the Civil War. Pre-registration is required. The cost is $25, which includes food and supplies. Participants must bring their own lunches. Registration forms are available at brickstoremuseum.org or by calling 985-4802.
Free events at library
The Kennebunk Free Library is hosting a variety of events this week for kids during school vacation.
The library will offer Yoga Buddies and Wii sports games for kids ages 3 to 5-years-old, a food “Fear Factor” program for teens and a teen gaming program.

Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice is seeking individuals interested in volunteering to help home care patients and their families.
