LONDON — Kenneth Branagh has assembled a troupe including Judi Dench, Rob Brydon and “Game of Thrones” star Richard Madden for a season of plays as the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company.
Branagh, who recently directed the fairy-tale film “Cinderella,” will direct or star in all five of the plays, staged at London’s Garrick Theatre over a year from October.
Branagh will appear alongside Dench in William Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale” and will star as an aging music hall performer in John Osborne’s “The Entertainer,” a role made famous by Laurence Olivier.
