Cumberland and North Yarmouth residents approved a $34.9 million budget for School Administrative District 51 on Tuesday.
Voters from the two towns adopted the budget 1,553 to 700.
The budget for 2016-17 is more than $1.1 million larger than this year’s spending plan and will require a property tax increase.
