I urge voters in Westbrook to vote “yes” in November to support the renovation and expansion of Saccarappa School and Westbrook Middle School.
Our community is thriving and growing. We have seen explosive growth in new housing starts over the past few years, and the city is a desirable place for families to put down roots, with great cultural events, new businesses, shopping, restaurants and community services.
The forward-looking proposal before voters will positively impact the entire community by alleviating the current crowding and space issues at all elementary schools and the middle school and by providing additional capacity for expected growth over the next 10 years.
Vote “yes” and send a clear message that we value our children, their learning experiences and the positive effect that strong and vibrant schools have on the greater community.
