Jacqueline C. Foley, 74, of Saco, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

She was born in Biddeford on May 18, 1942, a daughter of Romeo and Pauline (Gallagher) Dumont. 

Jacqueline graduated from Thornton Academy, Class of 1960, where she was a cheerleader and voted as best dancer and most witty of her class.

On July 29, 1967, Jacqueline married her husband, Jack. She was employed by the telephone company in Portland for 30 years, retiring in 1991. During retirement, she returned as a contractor for the telephone company for several more years. She was also involved with The Telephone Pioneers of America, a charitable organization, through work. 

Jacqueline’s husband Jack worked for the airlines so they had the opportunity to travel around the world, her favorite destinations included St. Martin and Las Vegas, Nevada. Another of her pastimes was to read a good book by her pool.

Jacqueline will be greatly missed by her family, as a mother and by some as a second mother.

She was preceded in death by: her husband of 45 years, John “Jack” Foley on April 20, 2012; by two brothers, Bill and Raymond Dumont; by one sister, Margaret “Peggy” Callahan; nephew, Jamie Dumont; and niece, Lauren Porthouse. 

She is survived by: her two daughters, Jennifer Foley and Patricia Foley; and her grandson, Kevin Foley and his girlfriend, Katherine Pinard. She is also survived by: four sisters-in-law, Dot Bineo, Lin Dumont, Suzanne Foley, and Cheryl Welcome; and many nieces and nephews. 

Visiting hours will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
