ARUNDEL — Steven M. Katon, 56, of Arundel, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at the Cary Medical Center in Caribou.

He was born Nov. 30, 1960, in Biddeford, a son of David A. and Claire M. (Girouard) Katon Sr. He was educated in Biddeford schools and graduated from Biddeford High School with the Class of 1979.

He had been employed as an auto body tech at various shops and was currently employed at Weir’s Motors as auto body shop manger.

He was a man with many talents and loved boating, snowmobiling, fishing, camping, friends and family. He was known by most and loved by everyone. He will be remembered for his laugh, his sense of humor, and his ability to share his knowledge. His passion was his family, especially his grandchildren and unconditional love for his wife.

Surviving are: his wife, Debra (Dubois) Katon of 36 years; their daughter, Kristle Brochu and husband, Daniell two grandchildren, Chase and Natalie; son, Tylor Katon and fiancée, Aphasia; four brothers, David Jr., Michael, Thomas and James Katon, and their spouses; a sister, Julie Petrin, and her spouse; mother-in-law, Marguerite Dubois; in-laws, Daniel Dubois and Denise Green, and their spouses; along with many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel.
