BIDDEFORD — Priscilla Richards Tarbox, 88, formerly of Pool Road, passed away Monday May 8, 2017 at the SouthRidge Living Center.

She was born in Buxton, Maine on May 30, 1928 the daughter of Burleigh and Bessie Nield Richards Sr. She attended local schools and graduated from Samuel D. Hanson High School. She met Joseph Tarbox and they married Sept. 17, 1947.

Priscilla first worked at the Pepperell Mills and then for  Roll-A-Way Bowling Alley.

Mrs. Tarbox loved bowling, knitting, puzzles, sports, line dancing, and attending her husband’s U.S. Navy ship reunions which where in different parts of the country. 

Priscilla is predeceased by her husband Joseph Tarbox Jr., her mother and father, brothers Burleigh” Bud’, Donald, Carlton, and Robert Richards, her half-sister Betha Nunan, and nephew Timothy Tarbox.

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa Valliere and husband William from Dayton and Gloria Bennett and husband Stanley of Kennebunk; four grandchildren Colleen, Billie-Jo, Lacy and Tyson; two great-granddaughters Saran and Danielle; two great-grandsons, Dylan and Kyle; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives may call Saturday May 13, 2017 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 365 Main St, Saco.  A 11:30 funeral service will follow at the funeral home. She will then be laid to rest at South Buxton Cemetery (Tory Hill) next to her husband.
