I live in York County and just opened up a hard-sell packet designed to get me to sign on and vote for Question 1. At first glance it sounded pretty good, but especially in the past few months I have learned to not take anything at face value. So I did a bit of digging into what the question is about.
It is about opening up gambling in York County.
Even if I were inclined to support a casino, the deception that is rampant in this packet leads me to not trust those putting this forward.
If they are not able to be up-front about what they are doing before it even gets started, it will only get worse as time goes by. We have all learned this the hard way since last year’s election. I do not plan to be made a fool of again.
