BIDDEF0RD — The visiting Portland Bulldogs would improve to 6-1 on the season with a 4-0 shutout win over Biddeford on Thursday afternoon.
Donnie Tocci went the distance on the hill with five strikeouts and just four hits allowed. Tocci also had a two-run double in the seventh inning.
Ian Couture had a pair of hits for Biddeford.
Thornton Academy 9, Westbrook 3
The Trojans would get three hits and two RBIs from Tim Smith as they rolled to their sixth win of the season on Thursday.
TA (6-2) would jump out to an 8-0 lead after the first two innings and added another run in the top of the fifth.
Kolby Lambert had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored and Brady Lambert had one hit and two RBIs.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Kennebunk 16, Cheverus 7

Hallie Schwartzman scored four goals and would record her 100th career point as the Rams improved to 7-0.
Kennebunk would get five goals from Erin Gorton and both Liz Kiezulas and Brie Beaudette scored twice.
Haley Moody stopped 10 shots in the cage for Kennebunk.
