Kevin Miller presents Democrats with a false choice in his May 27 article.

Miller claims that Democrats must choose between “an unabashed progressive” and someone who is “electable” in the upcoming gubernatorial primary.

Anyone who has listened carefully to the debates among the seven candidates would know that all seven are very close on the important issues. All are well acquainted with the problems that face our state. All are thoroughly decent people who want to serve the people of Maine. I suggest that the only choice is the candidate who can win and implement programs that will benefit the people of Maine.

My first choice is Adam Cote, because I believe that he will best articulate what can be done for the state and will unite the electorate to win in November. However, I would enthusiastically support any of the seven who is nominated in the June primary election.
