Bank contributes $6,000 to provide equine therapy
Kennebunk Savings Bank has been a longtime supporter of the Carlisle Charitable Foundation, which provides scholarships for children and adults with disabilities who are in financial need, enabling access to life-enhancing, equine-facilitated therapy programs at Carlisle Academy Integrative Equine Therapy & Sports.
Recently, Kennebunk Savings awarded $6,000 from the Huntington Common Charitable Fund for Seniors to provide tuition subsidies for older adults participating in equine-facilitated therapy groups. This grant will benefit older adults living at Gorham House, a local retirement community. Gorham House sends them to Carlisle Academy each week to ride, groom and interact with the horses, and picnic on the farm.
