On Saturday at the Augusta Civic Center, the Mt. Ararat High School competitive cheering squad finished in fifth place in the MPA Regional Cheer Championships, qualifying the team for the program’s first State Class A appearance. The state final will be held on Feb. 8. The Eagles are coached by Christine Mecham.
