One person died in a head-on collision in Saco on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Brandon Sheehan, 33, of Saco, was killed in the crash, which took place in the area of 178 New County Road.
Officers, who arrived at the crash scene, found a white Ford F-250 pickup truck off the road and resting on the lawn of a residence. Sheehan’s black Toyota Camry was still on the road, Deputy Chief Corey Huntress said.
Investigators said it appears that the pickup truck was heading eastbound on New County Road when Sheehan’s Camry, which was traveling westbound, crossed the centerline and struck the truck head-on.
Sheehan died at the scene while the pickup truck driver, 48-year-old Cole Mariner, sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
