POLAND — A FedEx truck rolled over onto a pickup truck Tuesday morning at Maine Street and Spring Water Road.

At 9:50 a.m., a white Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Maine Street and broadsided a FedEx tractor-trailer as it crossed the intersection at Spring Water Road, said Poland Fire Rescue Chief Thomas Printup. Due to the force of the impact, the FedEx truck tipped over onto the driver’s side of the pickup.

A third vehicle, a black Hyundai, was traveling southbound on Maine Street and collided with the two vehicles.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported by Poland Fire Rescue to Central Maine Medical Center with serious injuries, Printup said. The other two drivers were evaluated by EMS on scene but did not require further medical attention.

Officers with the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene for crash reconstruction and interviews of those involved. Maine Department of Transportation handled detours while Auburn and Gray fire departments arrived with ambulances.
