Roger Boucher

LIMERICK – Roger Boucher, 87, passed away at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough on Oct. 12, 2022. He was born in Limerick on Aug. 1, 1935, the youngest of the 10 children of Louis and Ernestine (Martin) Boucher.

Roger attended school in Limerick. He married Norma Harmon in 1964 and they enjoyed 58 years together.

Roger raised chickens for Hillcrest Foods until 1981 and was a self-employed contractor who built houses and did work with his backhoe and plowed snow at many Limerick homes during the winter months.

Roger was very active in the community. He was the fire chief of the Limerick Volunteer Fire Department from 1970 to 1987 and worked many hours helping to build the fire house in 1966.

Roger was predeceased by his parents; and his nine siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; daughter Ann, son Frank, daughter-in-law Shirley; granddaughters Crystal and Courtney; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Limerick.
