The voters of Sagadahoc County and Dresden, Senate District 23, have one more opportunity to reelect Democratic Sen. Eloise Vitelli. I have known Eloise Vitelli for years, but for the last six, I have had the fortune to have her as my senator and colleague. She is among the finest legislators I know, which is why she was voted majority leader of the Senate.

Throughout the early part of the pandemic, she brought together the Sagadahoc delegation to meet with emergency management officials and our sheriff and community action agency – leading us to track county problems and focus on potential solutions. She works tremendously hard and reaches bipartisan agreement through reasonable compromise.

Sen. Vitelli brought several bills before my committee, designed to provide real help to Maine people. Her work providing a way for all working Mainers to save for retirement is a groundbreaking achievement.

We must vote to reelect her Nov. 8.
