Gloria Jean Joyce

BIDDEFORD – Gloria Jean Joyce, 74, passed away on April 16, 2024, after a prolonged period of declining health. Gloria was born in Caribou, daughter of Albenie and Caroline Michaud.

Gloria was a friendly and a giving person and enjoyed knitting. She made sweaters for herself and other family members plus countless afghans.

She worked at Portland Pipe Line for several years, then Hannaford grocery store in Windham for a number of years.

Gloria is survived by her husband of almost 50 years of marriage, Timothy J. Joyce Jr.; her son, Timothy J. Joyce III and wife Kelly of Cumberland; sisters Diane Macomber and husband Harvey of Parsonsfield, Elaine Thorne and husband Philip of Davenport. Fla. and brother, Galen Michaud and wife Pam from Caribou. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Kathleen Veroneau, Mary O’Bradovich, brother-in-law, Philip Joyce and wife Barbara; two grandsons, Kurtis Joyce of Saco and Caleb Joyce of Cumberland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gloria’ was predeceased by daughter, Kelly Joyce; brother, Wally Michaud, and sister-in-law Barbara Allen.

The family would like to thank Southridge Rehab and Living Center for their years of careful and loving care.

A private Celebration of Life is planned on May 25.
