Art and Theater: Jazz trio to riff on Stravinsky
PORTLAND OVATIONS brings The Bad Plus to USM’s Hannaford Hall for an evening of jazz. The trio will perform Stravinsky’s “Rite of Spring” in a multimedia concert that integrates live video into the performance.

Et Cetera: Laser magic with a far-out soundtrack
THE NAME says it all: Laseropolloza 2013. The Southworth Planetarium at USM is hosting full-dome laser shows Friday through Feb. 24. Some of the shows will be accompanied by the music of Led Zeppelin, The Beatles or Pink Floyd, while others have titles like “Laser Hypnotica.”
