HOCKEY
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS: Former Portland Pirates forward Tim Kennedy and former UMaine goalie Ben Bishop were added to the U.S. roster for the world championships, which start May 7 in Germany.
Kennedy is coming off his first full NHL season with the Buffalo Sabres. Bishop just finished his second full season with the AHL’s Peoria Rivermen.
Former UMaine defenseman Mike Lundin of the Tampa Bay Lightning and former Pirates forward Ryan Carter of the Anaheim Ducks are also on the team.

BOYS’ LACROSSE: Charles Evans scored twice to lead Hebron Academy (4-5) to a 7-2 victory over Tilton (2-5) at Tilton, N.H.
GIRLS’ LACROSSE: Sarah Markey scored three goals for Hebron Academy in an 11-7 loss to Tilton at Tilton, N.H.
