Reporter – Kennebec Journal
The Kennebec Journal newspaper in Augusta, Maine, is seeking an enterprising journalist to join its reporting staff for the paper and Centralmaine.com. This reporter will cover general interest news and geographic beats in the state’s capital region, while devoting time to important regional issues and enterprise projects.
The reporter must have:
- Excellent reporting and writing skills
- Sense of urgency that compels them to beat the competition on developing news
- Comfort with a digital-first environment
- Proven ability to file stories on deadline
- Experience rounding out stories with depth and context.
- Applicants must also be willing to work nights and weekends.
