How can my child or grandchild be a Weather Kid?

We are pleased to feature children 12 and younger on our front page every day with the weather forecast.  Periodically, we hold public photo shoots on Saturdays at our South Portland printing facility, located at 295 Gannett Drive.  All children who attend the photo shoot will eventually be featured in the paper.

We publicize these photo shoots on the front page of the print edition and also on pressherald.com.

Because of the need for a uniform background and because the children must be holding a sign, we regretfully cannot accept submitted photos.



How can my pet be featured as a Weather Pet?

Pressherald.com every day features a pet delivering the weather forecast.  Periodically, we hold photo shoots for the public to bring in their pet to be photographed. They typically are held on Saturdays at our South Portland printing facility, located at 295 Gannett Drive.

We publicize these photo shoots on the front page of the print edition and also on pressherald.com.

We also sometimes partner with local animal shelters to feature pets available for adoption.
