Donald Curtis, next door neighbor to Lori Hayden, was thrown under the front of this Ford F-250 by a sheriff's deputy while shots were fired as officers engaged Carroll Tuttle on Russell Road the day before. "The truck has sentimental value to me," Curtis said. "My father died seven years ago and left me that truck. It protected me yesterday."
