Prince Peep struts his stuff in a sporty blue sweater.
Barbara Widmayer adjusts Prince Peep's sweater. "I don’t think in my wildest dreams I ever thought anybody made sweaters for chickens," said Widmayer, 76, who started knitting when she was 15.
Prince Peep, a Malaysian rooster, is all patience as he's fitted with a sweater knitted in a fashionble green. The natty number is one of many knitted by a group of women in the retirement home in Milford, Mass.
Nancy Kearns holds Prince Peep. Kearns says the knitting project benefits birds kept on a neighboring estate known as the Mary M.B. Wakefield Charitable Trust.
