Who will bear the brunt of gun sale background checks, including private sales? As usual, the law-abiding gun-owning citizen.

For example, if I were to loan an individual a gun, he or she would have to go to a gun dealer and get a background check. When the individual later returns the gun, I’d have to go to a gun dealer for a background check to get the gun back.

Who pays for this? Not the government.

When will the sale or loan of a knife, hammer, ax or even an automobile require a background check? This law will not affect anyone who wants to shoot someone from obeying the law.

Unfortunately, a zillion laws will never prevent these things from happening. Some of our cities that have the toughest gun laws on record also have the highest murder rate.

Every time government grows bigger, another part of our freedom grows smaller.
