I really have a difficult time dealing with Question 1. I will vote “no.”
I have seen young men outside Hannaford smoking marijuana. They throw it on the ground and go in to shop, glassy-eyed. The odor is just offensive, not just to myself but others.
I certainly do not want to meet these people on the road, the same as if they had been drinking alcohol.
When someone is arrested for possession of marijuana, fine them a couple hundred dollars, confine them to house arrest for 60 days and have them do 1,000 hours of community service. This would keep them out of jail and leave room there for murderers, thieves, etc. Jail will not help marijuana users. This will happen over and over.
Vote “no” on Question 1. We do not need these users walking or driving as if this is OK, because it is not!
