My Sister’s Keeper, a mentoring ministry for women who are transitioning from incarceration into the community, will hold a training session from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for interested mentors and volunteers at Cape Elizabeth United Methodist Church, Route 77, Cape Elizabeth. Souper Bowl of Caring, annual weekend of giving and service with youths from area Catholic churches collecting monetary and food donations that will be given to local charities. Since its start in 1990, more than $50 million has been collected nationwide.
Sunday
Sacred Harp Singing, 1 to 4 p.m., The New Church, 302 Stevens Ave., Portland. Free and all are welcome to participate. This is not a performance.
Choral Evensong, 4 p.m., traditional Anglican service with the Cathedral choir and musicians. The Cathedral Church of St. Luke, 143 State St., Portland. Free, with donations accepted. The public is welcome to attend.
