On Nov. 8, I will be voting to reelect Democrat Joe Rafferty for Maine Senate District 34, and I encourage my fellow voters to do the same. In his two years representing District 34, he has helped pass important legislation pertaining to education, as he vowed to do in his original campaign.
Joe helped pass a bill that guaranteed universal meals, allowing all children to have access to food at school. He also supported funding school budgets at 55 percent to help ease the burden on taxpayers while ensuring our children have access to quality public education.
As a lifelong educator, and current Kennebunk High School football coach, Joe deeply cares about our children and their futures. His dedication to and involvement in our community speaks for itself, and I can’t imagine a better candidate than Joe Rafferty to represent us in Augusta.
