Hires, promotions, appointments
Kristen McAuley is now the senior program associate at the John T. Gorman Foundation in Portland. She has experience in public health roles, including serving as director of public health planning for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, director of prevention at the MaineHealth Center for Tobacco Independence, and as assistant director for the Maine CDC’s Division of Disease Prevention.
Oldham
Erin Oldham joins the board of directors for Hope Acts, a nonprofit based in Portland that provides assistance in housing, English learning and more to asylum seekers in the Greater Portland area. Oldham is an associate broker with Portside Real Estate Group.

Attorneys Norman R. Belanger and Betts J. Gorsky have joined Verrill in Portland. Belanger will be be a part of the law firm’s corporate and health care groups, and Gorsky will be in the private clients and fiduciary services group.

Mufalo Chitam, executive director of the Maine Immigrants’ Rights Coalition based in Portland, will receive Spurwink’s 2023 Humanitarian of the Year Award at a ceremony in May. Spurwink’s Corporate Care Award will go to KeyBank for their charitable contributions throughout the state to help address food disparity, housing, financial support and more.
