Anthony and Michelle find much to laugh about during a game of miniature golf. When Michelle moved back to Maine in 2006 she reconnected with Sanborn, first through letters, and then with visits to the state prison in Warren. They knew each other as teenagers.
“If I get, like, four hours (of sleep) that’s pretty good," says Sanborn. "It’s still not really freedom until the whole truth is there.”
Michelle clings to Sanborn while on a carnival ride at Palace Playland in Old Orchard Beach. They've been married since 2012.
