I distinctly recall a former Maine state senator telling me that Gray did not have any environmentalists. This was a wake-up call. I urge residents of Senate District 25 (Falmouth, Cumberland, most of Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, Long Island and Gray) who care about climate action and protecting our natural resources to debunk this myth by voting for Democrat Teresa Pierce.

Teresa is a four-term representative from House District 44 who supported legislation to clean toxic PFAs that are contaminating farmland and threatening our health, and to fund weatherization and efficiency upgrades that reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and lower energy costs. She championed climate change education in public schools and new goals for state and local fleets to transition to electric and zero-emissions vehicles.

Teresa also supported funding for Maine’s state parks and the Land for Maine’s Future Program to ramp up land conservation efforts, including money for Gray’s Thayer Brook Preserve.
