Hires, promotions, appointments
UScellular promoted Payton Austin to sales manager of its Scarborough store and Tyler Gawrys to sales manager at in Westbrook. Austin joined UScellular in 2013 and Gawrys in 2019 as retail wireless consultants in Auburn.
Eben Jose was named vice president, client adviser, director of private markets at Spinnaker Trust in Portland. He joined in 2014 and was most recently vice president, director of fixed income and alternatives.

Charles Hays was appointed as chairperson of the Kennebec Savings Bank board of directors, succeeding William Sprague. Mary Denison was voted vice chairperson of the board and is the first woman to hold this position.
Amanda Milliard and Nan Boucher have been hired by Northern Light Mercy Hospital as nurse practitioners, Milliard in Falmouth and Boucher in Portland.

Cecilia Estrada joined Maine Community Bank in the new role of residential loan officer. Jeanette Garvilles was hired as vice president, senior business banker. Estrada was previously a mortgage loan officer for Key Bank, and Garvilles was vice president, senior relationship manager/small business lender for Bangor Savings Bank.

Giving back
Spinnaker Trust gave a $50,000 “founding sponsor” gift to the University of Southern Maine Foundation to go toward the completion of the McGoldrick Center for Career and Student Success at the Portland campus scheduled to open in September.
Granted
Meetinghouse Arts in Freeport has received a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to go toward their project, “Our Town: A Community Self Portrait.” The project is a collaborative arts-based documentary with town residents submitting photographs and written pieces highlighting Freeport.
