Sen. Susan Collins voted with every other Republican on Sept. 11 against a constitutional amendment to overturn the terrible Citizens United decision and allow Congress and state legislatures to regulate big money in politics.

This isn’t the first time she’s stopped campaign finance reform in its tracks. She voted twice in 2012 and once in 2010 against a bill called the DISCLOSE Act, which would have made big political donors disclose their contributions quickly so voters knew who was trying to influence our elections.

Democrat Shenna Bellows doesn’t take corporate PAC money on principle, while Collins has accepted millions from corporate PACs this election alone. Bellows has raised more in grass-roots small-dollar contributions than Collins.

Bellows fights for hardworking citizens. This year, I’m following the money and voting for Shenna Bellows.
