PORTLAND – Dorrine Ann Sullivan-Loveland, 77, of Portland, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

Born and raised in Portland, she was a graduate of Portland High School. Dorrine was an office manager for a local orthodontist for 37 years. Although she loved her work, traveling, and reading, her family was her greatest source of joy. Dorrine was a strong, independent, compassionate, and loving person. Her positive impact on the lives of those around her will be felt for a lifetime.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles “Jack” Loveland; brother, George L. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife, Phyllis, sisters Kathleen G. Lowell, Noreen Sullivan Hutcherson and her husband Scott; nieces Carole Jean and Megan, nephews Robert, Sean, and Milo; and many great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Dorrine’s family and friends would like to thank the staff of Maine Medical Center and Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for the care they provided to Dorrine.

A Memorial Service will be held on May 18 at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, 132 Auburn St., Portland.
