Maine needs a governor with an original thought record who’s successful in creating jobs, can read a balance sheet, is aggressive in pursuing results, has sensitivity to Maine’s environment and can unite people.

Democrat Mike Michaud decided to follow Gov. LePage’s lead on debates, showing his lack of leadership. LePage went into a rant, refusing to go on stage with Michaud, exposing his lack of leadership.

In 1980, Michaud ran for the Legislature to clean up the Penobscot River. Once elected, he advocated the building of the Big A dam on the Penobscot River.

He then supported a bill to overturn the Board of Environmental Protection’s decision to deny a certificate needed to move the dam forward because of its adverse impact on water quality. Big money already had its hold on Mike Michaud.

Independent Eliot Cutler gets my vote. I would ask others to do the same.
