Since 2010, I have assumed that the most important piece of the 2014 election would be the defeat of Gov. LePage. I was wrong. What is most important is electing the best, the most qualified, the most experienced person possible to lead us for the next four years.
The polls only reflect the now, not Election Day. If we all stay true to ourselves, if we acknowledge our need to select quality, then independent candidate Eliot Cutler will be our next governor and Maine will be on the road to recovery.
We know his intelligence, his character, his history and his amazing ability to lead. A vote for Cutler is a vote for the future – a bright, improving future for Maine.
I ask everyone in Maine to think about it and then vote for the best candidate: Eliot Cutler.
