As a former Portland legislator who served on the Judiciary Committee for eight years, and as a practicing attorney in Cumberland County for the past 30 years, I believe that Jon Gale should be elected our next district attorney.
Jon has practiced as both a prosecutor and defense attorney during his 25 years as a lawyer. He has tried over 50 jury trials. He understands the criminal justice system from the perspective of all its players, namely, police departments, correctional facilities, defendants and, most importantly, victims. He has the experience necessary to make this complex system run smoothly.
I have watched Jon in court for a number of years. I believe that he is respected by judges, prosecutors and defense attorneys alike. He is smart. He listens. He will do a great job as district attorney for the citizens of Cumberland County. Please vote for Jon Gale in the June 12 Democratic primary.
